Landscape creations shaped by awareness, time, and place.
At AYATANA, landscapes are kinetic meditations. They ripple with the breath of wind, shift under the sweep of light, and soften with falling rain. We do not build spaces—we reveal rhythms.
Drawing from Buddhist mindfulness, Japanese architectural grace, and the raw monolith of brutalist form, each landscape honors impermanence. Light and shadow perform daily rituals across concrete and wood. Resin glistens with time. Nothing is still.
Each project is a meditation in form, light, and time. Below are windows into some of our recent landscapes.
Concrete and moss in ritual dialogue.
Stepping stones tuned to rainfall acoustics.
Sunlight choreographs time on reclaimed cedar.
We mold terrain into meditative form.
Stone, light, and memory in dialogue.
Gardens that shift with time, not trend.
We listen. We walk. We observe. Then, we create. Our work begins in awareness — of the site, the elements, and the stories waiting to emerge. Each project flows with nature and honors time’s slow hand.
Founded by a carpenter turned landscape poet, AYATANA is a Pacific Northwest studio crafting spatial experiences that unfold like quiet revelations. Materials speak. Structures shift. Moments are made visible.
Tell us about your space and your vision. We'll meet you there.
